You're all right about the leaves being chewed. I had the chance to be around a coca plant for a while when I was younger and of course we all tried the leaves. They're meally, they make your tongue sting and they taste like sucking on an old car battery. When you're done, your mouth feels sore and tastes horrible for a couple of days. The leaves give a shorter(!) high about 1/10th the feel of the powdery form (comparing a single leaf to a single line). I bet processing it wasn't to concentrate the substance as much as to find a palpable way of ingesting it that didn't take the high away. The increased strength was probably a bonus.
OMG I watched the video.....it is ...disgusting. Their chemistry is so crude, it is like the equivalent of trying to cook a nice dinner in a filthy gas-station toilet. Also, inaccurate. While they call it cocaine sulphate, it is really just very crudely processed base, that they used sulfuric acid in, and left lots of residue from. True C-Sulphate is a water soluble, ionically bonded compound (a salt), similar to C-Hydrochloride.If you added, to their final product, hydrochloric acid and acetone, as they said, you would actually get a solution of acetone and cocaine hydrochloride, and hydrochloric acid...since acetone is a non-polar solvent (mixes with water), and so it wood combine with the aqueous acid solution as well as the newly formed C-Hydrochloride salt. I've never seen such a backwards kind of pseudo chemistry. Gross! Marked as inaccurate! (and THAT takes balls, in this case!)
@WaterDragon"...but moderate usage of either -- just about never happens, and even a little methamphetamine can be seriously destructive to a person's energy, and to their body/nervous system! "EXACTLY. Everything you said is ASSUMING the person will be addicted and use the drug on a regular basis. You do know that excessive use of alcohol, caffeine, Tobacco and MOST drugs is NOT safe? Not to mention moderate sugar and junk food intake. You can't assume people will be addicted. You might be, but others might not. I tried meth once, I had the time of my life, and 12 hours later I fell asleep and I woke up the next day feeling a bit drained, but overall I was back to normal. Was it fun? Hell f**king yes. Will I try it again? Probably not. I mean, if it's free and laying around, why not? but I tried it, I experienced it and I'm moving on. It's the same with Cocaine, I tried it a few times and then I got bored of it and just stopped using it all together. It is.. one hell of a drug, because the feeling it gives you is beyond description. Think a whole body orgasm x 100 that lasts 20 minutes. The comedown isn't worth it, and frankly, it's not a drug for me. I'm more into psychedelics. You can't go around assuming people will try this or that and be hooked right away. I have friends who use heroin once or twice a month, and I have others who drink 3-6 cups of coffee a day. Who's doing more damage to their body and mind? I am not spreading propaganda or riding on a wave of pride. All I'm saying is, nobody should listen to me, or anyone else. They should do their OWN RESEARCH and form their own opinions. Moderate drug use is OK. This is a fact, depending on the drug (for example, it is probably never a good time to try PCP). Problems arise when you are using in excess, but if you do use drugs in excess, it is because you have an underlying problem which needs to be worked out. If drugs did not exist, the same people who are heroin addicts now would be addicted to sugar, sniffing solvents from the hardware store, killing people, etc.. The problem isn't the drug, it's the individual. Take responsibility for yourself, and put the blame where it's due.
THIS IS A VERY CRUDE WAY TO MAKE COCAINE !!!this may be a way to make cocaine but there is better and more efficient ways to make it, and they DON'T USE f**kING GASOLINE
