Believe it or not, some successful doctors choose this (like my dad) for the following reason:It's much less stressful not having to worry about keeping the patient alive.And yet it's still intellectual stimulating, yadda yadda yadda.Incidentally, coroners who are MD doctors are called ME's (Medical Examiners), like Quincy. Coroners w/o MD degrees are just called coroners, and in some places are elected with no qualifications whatsoever. Although most coroners defer their judgements to a real doctor, it makes you wonder how many of those deaths declared "natural" were otherwise?
