news.cnet.com — Much has been made over Apple's unwillingness or inability to establish a foothold in the enterprise. Mac fanatics claim it's because Apple is about consumers and doesn't want to cater to the business world, while Apple haters claim Apple simply isn't capable of beating Microsoft in the enterprise because it doesn't play well with others.

Once a quarter? Exactly my point. Have you ever worked with Macs? Once a quarter repairing Macs would be an outrage.I'm sure you'll think I'm lying, but I haven't had to repair or replace a Mac where I work in almost 2 years. We even have a few 4+ year old Macs that are on 24/7 that have yet to need attention. Those "cheaper" PCs? I just had two network cards and a hard drive die in the last month alone. A dead laptop the month before. All those machines were less than 2 years old. All Dells and Gateways, not discount junk machines either. That's not cheaper in my book.

Once a quarter is perfectly acceptable in my book. Maybe you need to buy better PCs instead of buying overpriced Macs. Our PCs are built locally so they don't ship from china and their quality is way better than Dells or Gateways or any of the bigger manufacturers.

^^ The business world isn't as different from academia as you may think. We, in state-funded universities, still have to make proper business decisions in order to remain good stewards of taxpayer money. Hence the appointment of MBA's and former CEO's, CFO's, and CIO's of large businesses, with vast business knowledge, at the helms of the these universities. You most certainly did not address any of my questions though. Should I take that to mean you don't have any evidence, you're incapable of finding said evidence, or you're just a troll?
