readwriteweb.com — Many people argue that the social web is actually destroying offline relationships and that relationships built through online social networking sites are nothing more than "superficial acquaintances." For brothers Hank and John, however, Brotherhood 2.0 has not only strengthened their bond but it has also allowed them to affect thousands of lives.

And....why are you at your computer then?

Because it's dumb to get great charities some attention? Is it because people united to do something different? Maybe because it's weird to try to make a positive difference? It could be because some people try to be thoughtful instead of vapid, contributors instead of leeches, or maybe they just wanted to make the world suck a little less.Is it so different from getting presidential debates on youtube as a way to inform the (fairly misinformed) folk about what it going on beyond their computers? It isn't! It's about paying attention and participating in what is important to you. Just like Digg is a tool for expressing your likes and dislikes, this was a project of individual expression to expand people's views of ways in which they can help their community and the world.

That's because you lead a wasted life. Ha!What's so hard to understand about promoting your favourite charity and getting a bunch of people to do the same and then name the whole thing "Project for Awesome"? It's seems really simple to me.

"It's not that I mind being insulted, it's that I mind being insulted so poorly" Having a vocabulary to insult something makes the insult a little more memorable, but "lame" describes itself.

I'd like to add, that beyond being a project about money, it was for awareness... making YT a little less prosaic for a day is a nice perk.
