They weren't booing the bill which passed 409-4, they were booing because fellow lawmakers proposed four amendments RELATED TO HEALTH CARE FOR VETERANS, three of which were withdrawn (because Dems wouldn't allow them) and one of which was denied a vote on a point of order (CQ Today, 8/1). The Dems won't allow anything that might be construed as helping Republicans, even if it helps veterans.Do a little research before you jump to conclusions. Otherwise you'll become just another Obama supporter.

I'm hoping that the military doesn't vote 50/50 Republican/Democrat. I prefer 0/100. I don't see how anyone in the military can support the Republican Party the way it's treated them in recent years. If Republicans ever get their act together and start treating veterans with respect again, maybe -- just maybe -- they can earn some respect themselves and some votes. Unfortunately I don't see any signs that they are getting their act together on anything.

The worst moment in the ideo is where Rep Jerry Lewis (R), after the obvious rebuke, stands up and tries to say that we should muddy the veterans bill with a Big Oil bill... FOR THE SAKE OF THE VETERANS. No s**t. Thats what this motherf**ker did. He defends pissing all over the veterans bill with the premise that this tacked-on big oil hand out should be done FOR THE VETERANS.
