sheeplepeople.com — The House of Representatives vote NAY on the Bailout Bill. Lawmakers can change their vote. The roll call can remain open for another 20 minutes so that some reps could be strong armed to change their vote. The margin of victory for the nay votes is a 23% and it would be extremely difficult to change the minds of enough representative.

What I see are many people say that the problem is as simple as 1+1=2. Fantasy. Investors lost at least 1 trillion today. That includes the working men and women [401k] of the nation. You all talk as if you haven't saved a dime....therefore have lost nothing. I have friends who spend all of their money, have saved nothing, and have thousands in credit card debt. They have not lost a penny but savers have. It is not as simple as you think. If you want to save in FDIC insured instruments only, you will never gain value. You will never outpace inflation.

The bill officially failed, but the Fed, with full approval from Bush, immediately printed $630 billion out of thin air. How many of you have the slightest clue as to how much this will inevitably devalue the dollar?

aadyss - No one lost anything. In fact, merely perusing over the business papers over the last year on the executive bonus, severances, pay-packages, etc... you can find all of that trillion and more... Stop saying it was "lost" - we know where it is. I say lets go get it. Are you up for that - or are you only interested in strong arming people for money when they are the future generations instead of those that actually have it?

Hated, anger, malice, judgmental attitudes; no, I am not up to that. You can stew in you own juices if you desire. That may be your bailiwick, but it is not mine. If extracting your pound of flesh makes you happy, have at it. If you have lost nothing then leave it alone.
