bulletin.aarp.org — Despite a wealth of research over the past three decades showing that fresh, well-prepared food is packed with natural disease-fighting nutrients to speed healing and prevent illness, hospital food has hardly been a model of healthy eating.

I don't understand why this hasn't happened yet at every hospital. The place that is supposed to heal you SHOULD be serving you fresh healthy food that your body craves and utilizes (especially while sick). Serving prepackaged and/or food full of preservatives and chemicals is counter productive. Good post MWD!

Hospitals go green...Hospital infections kill more Americans each year than AIDS, breast cancer and auto accidents combined. (<a class="user" href="http://www.hospitalinfection.org/)">http://www.hospitalinfection.org/)</a>Maybe hospitals should go STERILE

Hospitals are following a general model of business. If enough customers want it, they end up getting it.

A hospital that says their food is going green?! Let me guess, they're calling it soylent green? It would explain the missing bodies in the morgue. ;-)

It's about time! I've never seen anything appealing in hospital food. Now if they could just figure out a way to get the food to the patients while its still fresh enough to eat safely! It concerns me that no matter what they serve, the food trays sit on those carts in the hallway for how long before its given to the patients.
