cultofmac.com — Here’s hoping that Apple’s feverishly-anticipated “Brick” project is the world’s first all-screen laptop — like this mockup of the OLPC version 2 by designer Yves Behar. There’s slim chance, of course, but I for one would love a computing device like this: A hybrid iPhone-meets-Macbook-Air that would put hot netbooks like the EeePC to shame.

There aren't to many companies evolving products or creating revolutions. Cell phones didn't change much for about 10 years. They just got smaller, then the iphone changed everything.

@ewertz: i only smoke the finest..Blandyman: that's actually doubtful as well.. from what I can gather this isn't going to be a crippled MB, but a new, marginally faster MB with a new casing and a lower price. It makes sense though when you think about it.. what is the majority of the market's biggest problem with macs? they're too expensive (which they are) but if you could offer an already very popular model at a price comparable to its Windows-based competitors, you could shift vast numbers. In the short term, as Jobs' laid out, you would lose money but in the long.. well, look at Amazon's best seller list, every notebook on that thing is sub $600 with the only one above, the Macbook. They're still shifting units despite being overpriced, if they could reduce costs then Jesus... well, i could see why they'd call it the 'brick' put it that way..

If it's anything like my wife touch screen instinct phone, they have a long way to go, of course it's nothing like the iphone, but there is always room for improvement on the touch screen technology. It will be nice to see how this works though.http://www.anchorpointdesignsd.com/
