leftlanenews.com — Honda will soon add Google Earth to its navigation systems in Japan. This seems to be part of a growing trend. In February Google and Volkswagen announced they had partnered with nVidia to bring 3-dimensional Google Maps to car navigation systems.

I find this interesting, but am not sure how practical it is. Sometimes, the simpler the interface, the better. Take a Garmin or Magellen map, simple, easy to read. It seems like it would be difficult trying to follow a route through a snap shot of the city/street that's 2-3 years old. I could be wrong. Would love to see a demo!
