I can understand people believing silly things about gays or any other group, but it doesn't make any sense to take time out of your life to give someone a hard time.I've heard queer friends for years joke about how bigots who go far out of their way to bash people have something they are trying to fight in themselves rather than having something to fight with in regards to other people.Makes sense now.These people remind them, at some level, of something they themselves are running from

CBTF : how can hating how someone acts be a phobia? You can hate (or disagree) with something and not be afraid (phobic) of it. Since when has disagreeing with something or someone been classed as a phobia? As far as I know it's only disagreeing with the homosexual lifestyle / act that is classed as a phobia.

Like i've said before, i've had countless women tell me that they're dying to try sex with another woman. They almost always say they want to do it because guys think it's hot. I ask them what they'd say if their boyfriend/husband said they wanted to try sex with a guy and they always say "eww!! that's gross." I wouldn't really find it surprising if all of society hated homosexuality, but the idea that we only hate male homosexuality is surprising. It was mentioned earlier in this thread that MRI scans show that some heterosexual men actually feel "attacked" and threatened when seeing two males copulating. I think this has to do with fertility; if two guys are having sex, that removes the possibility of him carrying on the human race at an instinctive level. In nature, men are supposed to have sex to impregnant a woman. Women, for some reason, are allowed to have sex that isn't reproductive, and most guys go insane (that's so hot!!) when they see two girls kiss/have sex. When it comes down to it (whether we admit it or not), we're not completely separated from the animal kingdom; we ARE animals. We have instincts, and we're not nearly as intelligent or advanced as we think (we're intelligent by our OWN STANDARDS). The thing I like is that in the 21st century, people are really beginning to smarten up. We're not nearly as ignorant as we used to be. We realize that we're only human, that we can't judge others. And it's been reported that more people are "coming out of the closet" in high schools and colleges now than ever before, and they're being accepted on a wide level.

oh look a vague correlation let's draw wild conclusions:
100% hetero men can be uncomfortable with homosexuals. that just means they find boys kissing boys a little bit gross. it's not questionable until they start building a career or lifestyle around their dislike of homosexuals. because the 100% hetero man isn't going to be thinking about homosexuals very much, the same way I don't spend too much time considering the vagaries of steaming horse s**t or penile-vaginal intercourse. when you're getting spooked by homosexual specters left and right, endangering your children and your sexuality with their rampant gayness it just sort of tells everyone what you spend a lot of time thinking about (rampant gayness).
Now some objective questions: who is this homophobic guy who's been willingly subjected to watch gay scenes he so detests? Who would betray its own principles in this way and would give himself freely to be subject to contradiction? I tell you: this "research" is BULL s**t !
