Very touching matter, and very interesting to actually read about their experiences.

I go to SF state and was a political science major. You can pretty much go to any poli sci. class there and just listen and not read a single thing or do any homework and get by with a B, A if you are good at bulls**tting essays. I went to pretty much every single class stoned and was pulling straight A's, Its a f**king joke. I changed my major though to mechanical engineering now and the classes i have now i could never sleep through or not do any reading or homework for.

Addicts with self-discipline and dedication generally get clean. At least that's how it worked for me. Let me be clear - actively using addicts aren't weaker than most people. Most people do not have what it takes to get clean, they're just fortunate to not have the genes for addiction. Well, that and there is no effective treatment available in the US for addiction.

I apologize if I sound insensitive. I'll be the first to admit that I've never had a drug addiction. I was shocked that someone with such a unbalanced life could pull a competitive GPA, given my own personal experiences.
