blog.washingtonpost.com — If you thought race was an uncomfortable issue in the Democratic presidential primary, wait 'til you get a load of what's going on in the Democratic primary in the Memphis area's 9th District of Tennessee, where a shockingly worded flier paints Jewish Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) as a Jesus hater.

Fear essentially underlies all those things, aside, perhaps, from bad grammar.

the really scary thing is that Jr. was being groomed by his party, possibly for a future presidential bid, until he lost the election. Jr. is a step up from the rest of them, albeit a small step, but he has tried to separate himself from the likes of Ophelia and his cocaine-snorting brother.

Ah, you're a racist too, how sweet! So the antigentilism and the racism just kind combines into one big black ball of hate? Is that how you can sanction the genocide of the Gazans?

There are an awful lot of really ignorant (and even stupid) people in the world... Sometimes it seems like most of them live in the USA.

I live in Memphis. Sadly, this doesn't surprise me. I vaguely recall the current Mayor of Memphis Willie Herenton say that another black candidate "is not black enough" during his reelection campaign. Racism is so bad here that people of the same race can hate each other because of their skin color or lack there of. Just as an added bonus Herenton had shirts made for his campaign that said "shake the haters"

I do hope Rosie O'Donnell does not decide to comment on that remark...

The real test of whether or not Memphis is racist is whether people vote according to this rubbish at the polls.
