...after taking a break and breathing for a second I want to argue my point to convince those in my lifetime(time machine not going to well) Listen to this man, he says it much more politely: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3YOIImOoYMPlease KNOW what you're signing up for when you say a scientist can really "believe" in God and still be a scientist.

"Also, what more evidence can you get of a man made religion when the women are treated like crap and men get virgins in heaven."It wasn't that long ago that accusations of barbarity could be made of Christianity too. Current Western Civ fortunately does not go for Inquisitions or (religious) Crusades at the moment. We have moved passed all that and we hope our brothers eventually get passed that too. Christianity has evolved. It has evolved to accept the science of Galileo and others. Yes, there are quacks that will place Dinos and Humans in museums living side by side (you're not one of those, are you?) but for the most part, Christian religious leaders don't stand in the way of scientific discovery anymore (except Stem Cells I can understand but resisting Condom distribution to prevent AIDS is just denial).I wonder, in the future, how strong a grasp religion will hold on our descendants? When humans discover and live on other planets and interact with other intelligent life, will we send Missionaries like Spain did to the Incas (while taking their gold). Hopefully we will at least be the dominant ones in that exchange and we will be fair. It would really suck if we became the Incas and the little green men imposed forcibly imposed their belief on us, while telling us of the miracles, apostles, prophets, messiahs of their home planet. you see, it is all relative...

Stay strong. The landscape of the universe remains mostly a mystery to us because it is only as complex as our tools and science allow. This landscape will transform into much smaller and more manageable units as our science evolves.

Ze glasses! They do nothing!

Until you look at individual atoms and quarks and other unknown elementary particles. They probably are a universe of their own compared to what makes them up.After all, time is relative. We percieve time slow enough to where it seems like the universe is pretty slow. From the perspective of subatomic particles, they probably feel like the atoms around them are going hyper slow.

Thought I would add a disclaimer,I had forgotten that the end of this presentation advocates an Islamicvantage point, I'm actually a Christian -but the premise of the ideas are certainly food for thought containing perceptual truth.

A profound comment, and the stark contrast at the end of your post is one that I can identify with. Damn, we need to get our sh*t together and do something about this type of stuff, can't leave it hanging indefinitely.
