youtube.com— This was from a game this season between Phoenix and Los Angeles. 2 heavyweights drop the gloves in a sportsman-like manner. Sound comes in about halfway.

If you don't understand hockey, then why are you pretending you understand the fighting aspect? I've watched hockey for years, I'm not fond of fighting, but there is a purpose for it. Numerous reasons, in fact. It's not as simple nor as juvenile as some of you who haven't a clue think.
@iamjaredcHere's another reason blacks don't play hockey that much:There is racism in the sport. Ask any black guy in the NHL and the majority of them will tell you that they've faced on ice and off ice racism ever since they first stepped foot on the ice. Heck just a few years ago after Kevin Weeks won a playoff game against Montreal some fan threw a banana peel on the ice as he was skating off.
Whether the fights in hockey are "part of the game" or not, I don't really care. It's stupid. If you want to see fighting, watch boxing or muay thai or kickboxing or karate etc.-diggs. Who cares. People here will digg you down for any damn reason, whether you're right or wrong. I hardly come here anyways so what do I care.
Hockey players are good guys. I'm quite certain that most of them would be guys you would want to sit down and have beers with. As opposed to football or basketball players who are mainly self centered pricks.
They don't break them up cause' they're big guys and can knock your friggin lights out! I've seen ref''s jump in too quickly and take a shot to the head just before dropping to the ice - not a smart idea. It takes two refs (linesman) to go in at the same time and make sure all 4 fists are secured, or else pay the price...

Simple. The refs don't want to get hurt. DUH! Well... that and what Matt JF said.

The author of clause has mentioned and has opened excellent and a vital topic presently. Clause is written interestingly and the main thing actual. The same theme on Russian sites: http://pivo.in.ua http://www.alcogol.kiev.ua
