Save yourself some time and watch the last 15 minutes, where you actually hear what he was saying. The rest of the show tries to show how fancy the tech is - but you can see the Apple DVD Player pop up while the actor pretends to be using the 'software'.
It's a language issue, actually. Today "film" can be a verb referring to capturing moving pictures regardless of the medium. Similarly "video" can refer to an actual tape, a flash embedded digital recording, or even a movie, once again regardless of the medium.Your observations are indeed correct. A Film is technically just "film", and "video" is technically just the tape medium. But many movies today are shot digitally, and thus are not "filmed" at all. Would you call these "videos" and not "films"? Language changes with culture and time. Get used to it.

Very well done. Add this book to this film to get an even clearer picture of Hitler:http://tinyurl.com/yqnwk9
