musicthing.blogspot.com— Describes how the intel inside jingle was produced and who made it. Why doesn't AMD get one of them?

Don't hold back rewritable! If I had a dime for every time someone overdid some hardware/OS/game system loyalty, I would own a planet. That said, AMD doesn't need to advertise. Their big idea is to make a comparable product for cheap. Why won't that eventually take over the world?!?
"Agreed barcode. Right at the top of the article it says they spent $350 million last year alone promoting the sound (which I think is a silly annoying sound anyway). Maybe now people will understand why Intel hardware is higher priced than AMD. Not because they are better chips and are actually worth the extra money, but because they have so much tied up in advertising."Intel also spends 5 times as much as AMD does on R&D. Although I like AMD chips better than Intel, it would be misleading to suggest Intel is overpricing chips because of advertising expenses.
Amd doesn't need glitzy lies to cover for their products. They have proven to be cheeper and better than wintel with patience and truth.Wintel is good at making bad products and marketing (ie. lieing).Amd is just the opposite... quite approach, but with rebel like determination, and a plain ol 'qool' design pattern have made them what they are. :)
Because AMD doesn't get marketing. This is why they fail. They may have superior products, but Intel wins because they have brand rcognition. Since this is something AMD (and their fans) can't seem to get through their holier-than-thou skulls, AMD will always lose to Intel in the mainstream consumer market.
right now AMD is in the lead for market shares because wal-mart is using their processors for laptops next year, unfortunately, i havent seen any evidfence to suggest that Dell is dropping intel in the near future.AMD does have superior products IN SOME ASPECTS (i.e. gaming) whereas Intel processors tend to work well with media applications etc. the fact that AMD dosent use advertising just shows how much harder it is for them to stay on top of intel, instead of spending money in marketing and advertising they try to put it into research and development JUST to break even with intel... and it is just starting to pay off now.noob comment:AMD is teh roxor
there isn't any such thing as a 3Ghz Celeron. Celeron just sucks too much. AMD Sempron = Celeron, they're about the same, and they both suck something awful. Intel Pentium 4 beats AMD when it comes to applications rendering and such, but AMD is the best when it comes to gaming.
