guardian.co.uk — After watching the beasts in their cages, diners at the zoo's restaurant can gnaw on the webbed toes of a hippopotamus, chew a kangaroo tail, nibble a deer's penis or slurp down a bowl of ant soup. The sale of these dishes has caused outrage since it was reported earlier this week.

If the animal is cute and fluffy, eating it is a big no-no.If the animal is ugly but tastes good, eating it is fine.Americans are pretty shallow.

^^ EXACTLY,how smart is a f**king cow, or chicken. A cow could easily kill any man 1 vs 1, or stomp all over a herding dog. Does it? lol it runs away, to be slaughtered, and made into delicious burgers.Idiots like you should be fed to people like me. You can't see the corellation between an animals unknowing vegetable type of mind (BTW THE COMMON TAME DOG DOESNT HAVE THIS MIND - ITS SMARTER AND CAN READ BODY LANGUAGE AND HUMAN EMOTIONS BETTER THAN APES EVEN) you should be on my menu. Braydenstyles burger with cheese plz.

lol Americans hate Chinese.. I wonder if its anything the media has been feeding them? Over here (In the UK) we think the Chinese are honest, peaceful people. We don't have hate for them. My guess is, as the Chinese people start to become a major superpower, America will invade. Or try to subdue them via any means necessary.

I dunno, if I knew that certain animals were tasty I would be a lot more inclined to help preserve them.

Only in China is the concept of "zoo" conflated with the concept of "exotic restaurant."

OH, I can see it now. Hippos packed into stockyards knee deep in their own s**t as if they were cattle being processed for human consumption! An Ayn Rand Capitalist's wet dream come true!
