I was in the Air Force, stationed in Germany, and enlisted aircrew on C-130's in the late 90's; I flew in and out of there over 40 times. She described the standard takeoff and landings of any aircraft going in and out of that airfield. She was probably on a C-130 or C-17. She may be right about not being offered tea, but on PR missions like that, coffee is provided.
