"So, your telling me an organization like NASA, has senior engineering officials retiring, WITHOUT passing along any of their knowledge?"I never said that. I said that the knowledge retention wasn't that great. Why would they work so hard to train other people and pass down that specific knowledge when we didn't have any immediate plans to go back to the moon after the remaining apollo missions were scrapped?Instead nasa worked on other things like skylab and hubble...I'm just saying that (despite the appearance of the spacecraft) this is not something that you just blow the dust off of and pick right up where you left off.
How about we build a big ship in space. Use this thing to get people to said ship. That way, they can be safer off the ground, yet have the abillity to do more in space via a large quarter trillion dollar ship that remains in space or some bs like that.
"We choose to go to the moon in this decade... because it'll distract people from looking at the middle east for a while... maybe"It all looks like another crackpot scheme of NASAs to me...
