appleinsider.com — The first high-res photos of Apple's new MacBook notebooks (in black) have been posted on AppleInsider. They show in detail the notebook's glossy widescreen display, newly-desiggned keyboard, built-in iSight, track pad, infrared port and completely magnetic latching system.

Glossy screens are much easier to clean and can help prevent damage to the LCD surface.

Yeah, I dont know why people are so shocked about a black laptop...when I saw it I was thinking the same thing....PowerBook G3....

Wait, Even the matte noticeably scratches? EASILY?! How can that be? I thought the point of a matte finish was so that scrathches/finger prints don't show up. The 4 year old matte black dell I have (By the way does this mean that it's back in style now?) has no scratches on it at all. My palms have however smoothed the finish a little and i'm starting to wear a hole through the trackpad

it does get quite hot, though it runs absolutely whisper quiet, and battery life is better then any laptop ive owned (last was a dell d810 w/ centrino @ 1.83) id estimate it at around 4+ hours
