An outrageous affront to free speech and press from a member of the press. A disgusting tale of media asshatery of the largest magnitude. You can't fire me AP. Frack you and your biased coverage.

If any blogger calls your boss and starts harrassing you on your job because you criticized them, you can expect me (and most of the other bloggers I know) to be right there defending you, too.

There is always hope. The powers that be lose more and more credibility with each passing day.I have hope in our future not because our current leaders will change their ways, but because the generation preparing to take over (my generation, I am 29) is more free thinking and willing to take action than the generation of my parents.I believe that our parent's generation (I'm speaking purely of the American generation, not the global generation) relied too much on the government to handle all their problems. They swallowed up every piece of information that was provided to them without ever verifying the facts. I believe their generation were raised to believe that their voices and actions were insignificant and could never bring about change. I do not blame them because I think they were victims of their upbringing. However, this victimization also resulted in my parent's generation realizing their shortcomings and teaching their children (my generation) that we had the power to change our world. They taught and pushed for us to gain as much knowledge as possible and to work with each other. We then realized and taught each other that KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!!!My generation is a generation of free thinkers and pursuers of knowledge. This is most apparent in the hacker society. Hackers are believed to be evil criminals out to destroy the world. This is a fallacy!!!! Just like every other group of people in the world, we do have our "bad seeds" (we call them Black Hats, or PHREAKERS, PHISHERS, etc.) . These are the people using their skills and knowledge for financial gain and to cause havoc. True hackers are patriots of the Information Age. We hold information to be the most valuable of all human creations. We believe that information is to be freely available to all. Therefore, our only true crime is that of curiosity.Yes we "hack" into computer systems; but only to see how they work. We often deliver or leave messages of the exploit for the security administrators to address. But above all else, we are in constant search of information and truth. We band together to help each other expand our horizons. We share our knowledge to help technology progress and to protect ourselves from those who would stop us. We fight against the establishments who try to manipulate and coerce us into believing that they're way is the right way. We fight not with guns and bombs, but with words and thoughts.I have hope that my generation will produce leaders with these ideals. I have hope that my generation will not stand aside and watch the world collapse. I have hope that my generation will stand up, speak their minds and take action to better the world. It will take time, but I have hope..........and so should you.

Blogging can't be considered news either then, based on it being another form of propaganda.

pintomp3, how right you are and how sad for everyone that appreciates truth, even if it is painful.

While I usually disagree with people who randomly scream "gay" at anything they don't like, your comment was much more intelligent, and frankly more apt. I happen to be gay, so I can say this - flubba needs to either dyke up or cry elsewhere. :)

You can honestly say that you have NEVER seen anyone who considers themselves liberal, and who Diggs, say anything that was polite, without screaming? Perhaps you should check around a little better, and see who is really guilty of making baseless, loud attacks.
