At ifonly:I'm sick of people calling any blog that shows up on Digg "blogspam." Does any blog that gets dugg to the front page ever fail to get called "blogspam" at least once?If a blog post gives you full details without clicking out to another website to find them and presents those details in a readable format, what is the problem? Please, do tell...I'm not an Engadget fan by a long shot, but I don't dislike them, either, and I'm a fan of my own blog, where I actually write sensible posts on relevant topics in the hope that people will *read* them, not dismiss my work as mere "blogspam" or call it "trash" just because, horrors, the posts were written by a relative unknown on a, horror of horrors, a *blog.* I'm so sick of this elitist, snotty attitude towards us. Quit it!If you guys don't quit it, this is where most of the bloggers will wind up, and damn it, we won't be back:http://www.stirrdup.com/Proceed at your own peril, becausegood content will dissapear from Digg and it aint comin' back.
Agreed. I've only read 1984 out of those you mentioned, but it is a long, looooong way away from modern Britain. People picked up on the camera things because of the TV show, I think, because being watched when you're out and about in a public place probably wouldn't've been high on Orwell's list of fears. Wish people would read the book before throwing "omg big brother"s everywhere. Media included.
"Mate, seriously. The CCTV only sucks if you are breaking the law."Yeah because the law is infallable. Everybody knows that.Go back to bed Brittan. Your government has it all under control. Here's football and Eastenders, watch this, shut up.
So you're in the habit of using slang from around the world so that if someone assumes your nationality from it you can rub in their faces how stupid they are? Obviously, we don't know what nationality you are. But if you're using American slang in a post on Digg, where the majority of users seem to be American, assuming that you're an American doesn't make a person stupid or under 4. P.S. Я использую Babelfish для того чтобы вызвать вас tosspot. Я великобританск, поэтому я использую великобританский сленг.Ah, the much vaunted Age of Information. Doesn't translate back so well, but you get the gist.
