While most people seem to be lamenting the fact that these companies are trying to create a different approach to how we use the net we should remember that this is a world based experience. Maybe you can afford to have a fully featured rich Office app on your PC and use all the latest gadgets but many others cannot afford the money or the time. In many years to come this approach will enable all of us to express ourselves in many different ways and share our knowledge and experience where ever we come from. What harm can come from these ideas and experimenting with them. A little less negative thought is required and a little more use of our expertise and help in making these apps better in every way, where ever they come from, be it Zoho, Google, MS etc.

You know what Zoho needs?A new name, one that might actually inform me that it is an office suite (from the name, I totally forgot, and thought it was the name of some sort of revolutionized Soho cafe). I mean, look at OpenOffice, I know it's an office suite. I don't have the slightest clue that Zoho is an office suite by name.And these two are just for annoyances, but, in order to be cool and Web 2.0, you need subtle gradients and tagclouds! MUST HAVE TAGCLOUDS! Everything should have tagclouds. Tagclouds have tagclouds, too.

It is a great offering, very convenient and I believe this model will be more and more widely used....My biggest concern is SECURITY. What if I use ZOHO to run my business with my colleagues ?...and sharing sensitive information ? I spent a few minutes in their forum searching for the answer and was not convinced by the tech support's answer....

I have both ZOHO and Google Docs. including their Googles Ethelos CRM software. Thus far I find the Zoho product superior by far. I have been on Google docs for 2 years I found it not very useful. I started with Zoho two months ago. Their ability to save locally as well as edit in a browser was a breeze, not tomention the clincher for me. Google only recently allowed for that capability. I did get a call from Googles tech support when I wasn't able to login to Ethelos it was surprising, but they still didn't resolve my simple login issue. With Zoho not only did they call me back several times but actually listened and resolved my particular issues as well as made some of the changes I had made suggestions software wide.I have been using all their products and find it amazingly easy as well as intuitive. I can't tell you how it has helped me in my business. To make a further point my company provided me with a CRM software, they have spent thousands including all kinds of training for it. I am not even using it. I am using the CRM from Zoho and have created an extensive database in the thousands yes thousand without even a hitch.Zoho is great software I am with them they are the s**t!!!
