If you run a mail server, start looking into greywall solutions, a greywall will ask email to wait for a while and retry. If its a legitimate email, it will get through after 2 or 3 trys and be added to a whitelist database, if the mail is sent by a zombie, it will never retry and never get through. Eliminated 95% of spam for me.
