Get a real laptop...trust me. These things are super underpowered. They're designed more for ultra-portability. But laptops in general are already fairly portable.
Maybe some people just want ultraportability. If someone already has a full powered desktop at home and just wants something they can take to and from class every day to take notes and maybe do some web surfing, the Eee PC is perfect for their needs.Laptops in general are fairly portable, but there is a big difference between a 5 pound laptop and a 2 pound laptop if you lug it around in your backpack all day.
