About 30-40% of the traffic generated - ie. the traffic that I pay for - comes from link farms, that is Web pages that have nothing more than a bunch of links that redirect to Google Adsense links...

This article is about AdSense, not AdWords. Those are two very different products offered by Google. AdWords is hard to fraud, as all profits from it go to Google, not to a third party.

Exactly how worthless is this linkfarm if it helped someone find your site. As long as its a person and not a bot I am happy for every single form of traffic my sites get.
