It's still worth a bit. Halflife.com would rank up pretty near Half-Life.com without even trying, plus people are likely to forget the dash a lot (a big risk if you put a hyphen in your domain). If you were to put some CPM-based ads on it (and a link to the real site to avoid confusion) you could probably make a bit of money.
