physlink.com — A study was done where people put on glasses which inverted the image. They saw everything upside-down, but after wearing them constantly for a few days, their brains were retrained to flip the image right-side-up again. When they took the glasses off, the image was upside-down again!

This is wrong! It's a myth that the image would actually flip upside-down when wearing the glasses. It may be very tempting to believe it, but studies have shown that this has NOT happened. This was emphasized heavily during a psychology class I took. The myth, however, is a hard one to get rid of.All that does happen is that the individual gets used to seeing the world upside-down, and are just as proficient in moving about and doing their usual activities as when they saw normally.
