That's odd. Didn't realize that changing the MAC address was so bad.I remember poking about Synaptic (program to download & install stuff) and finding "macchanger-gtk" - which does what it sounds like, changes the mac address for you.
From the Cablehack forum (I'm assuming "Masta" is "Tom"):Today, 12:24 AMmastaAdministratorRe: What's up with this Article on Wired.comI've looked up the court records.. the complaint is real. it wasnt approved yet however. Regardless, the charges are all bogus.. Im sure you guys can figure that out for yourselves tho.As of right now, im just going to wait and see what happens. Id like to get ahold of that fbi agent tho and ask him what is the deal with the charges here, as they are ludacris.
So wait.... homeboy is getting arrested by the FBI for giving the ability to change a MAC address to the end user? Jesus, anyone who has ever used DD-WRT should be on death row then.
