lifehacker.com — Despite the fact that it ships with a DVD drive, for whatever godforsaken reason, the Nintendo Wii doesn't support DVD playback?until last week, that is, when a homebrew hacker released a tool that enables DVD playback on your Wii.

@newsboys and EthosI wasn't aware that you had to proofread comments before submitting them to digg. Although both of your comments are factual, they were merely typo's from typing quickly. @jmkiii I'm is the correct usage in this case, so i'm not not sure what you're saying exactly. @the kappa Yeah, I played quake last night, i'm very impressed at how well it works.

If you didn't know, Wii is the easiest thing to pirate games for. From my knowledge, people can download games directly on their Wii. Thanks for keeping up with things.Guess what, I don't pirate anything. I pay for all my games on every console (I own all current generation consoles). I'm tired of Wiitards like you who think they know everything about video games just because you own one stupid console. Next time, do some research before you accuse me of stupid crap, "assclown".

It really doesn't matter what they have to say. I was not stating that because Nintendo has claimed that, i'm claiming that because the Wii's drive made for a system that only had to read from time to time and nintendo as always picked the cheapest parts that they think will hold out for a long time. Just using your brain will tell you that there is a good chance they can't handle non stop streaming all of the time.Untell hackmii stress tests a wii for..... 6 months of non stop dvd play back, i'm not caring that they have to say.
