That's just irresponsible of the people who used TOR assuming it was completely encrypted traffic. TOR is -only- for anonymity. Nothing else. The only reason encryption is used is so that the first node and so on can't completely unpeel the onion, thus seeing the destination and ruining the anonymity.

Mitnick was just a script kiddie who got caught, so yeah, he's pretty much on the same level. It's not like he gained access by exploiting or tricking remote servers.Usually break ins like this are attributed to something very minor, often social engineering.Even the most skilled "hacker", a true one with extensive knowledge, can't just arbitrarily pick a system and get into it. It's usually done by manipulating those who already have access.

Why the hell are people digging this guy up, he is completely wrong, anyone who has any idea how TOR works would know that the text is wrapped multiple times with different keys on each onion router, the plaintext is completely encrypted until it hits the end node (as mikesum32 said), and even then all you need is a secure link to the actual server through TOR and your set.

Your not a hacker if you end up getting caught!!I find it completely stupid how you can say who is the hacker of the year, 99% of hacks you don't ever hear of as their not idiotic enough to get their asses caught.
