Hopefully they will begin to offer a PC or notebook that had no OS on it installed. That way the consumer has a true choice and people can finally stop being charged the Microsoft "tax".

The dz8000 makes a great "business" PC. I run SuSE 9.3 on it right now. There are a few problems, wireless support, dual head display, and cpu throttling come to mind. Maybe 10.x will take care of these issues?

I'm VERY excited to see this happening. I only started using Linux in Jan. of this year and once I saw all that FUD about it was, well FUD, I never looked back! Distros like PCLinux, Linspire and SUSE go the extra mile with easy download managers,GUI interfaces and systems that work right out of the box. And once you see XGL in SUSE...Well,what can I say? And to see a big company like this come on board,it's only a matter of time till companies like Dell test the waters. So if YOU want to test the waters, here are even more links.http://www.extremetech.com/category2/0,1695,1897396,00.asphttp://www.pclinuxos.com/page.php?6http://www.osnews.com/story.php?news_id=15121http://tinyurl.com/h8z33 http://shots.osdir.com/When I installed my OS,(I'm on a network) the network was found and I had to do nothing but watch it do it's thing. In less than half an hour I was surfing the net. I know there is a command line, but I only used it once to ping Yahoo...For people wanting to leave Windows, you can do this... Anyway, this is great news!
