"They ported an app to allow direct printing of photos to the printer without the need for the desktop."Um you're missing the poing that other products have been doing this for a LONG time now.HP wrote a nothing-so-special program to get iphones wacked OS to connect to standard wifi for HP and print... just like all the other standardized devices can... 2 years ago!

Apple have ensured that only their applications are able to run in the background so it's fair to say that the iPhone isn't really capable of multitasking or is only capable of limited multitasking.As for printing, I agree that it's pretty pointless but plenty of phones have included this for years. In fact, HP had printing software on Windows Mobile before that OS was even available for phones.

the majority of other phones support bluetooth file transfer. So, if you consider its an inmportant feature, then why did you choose an iPhone over them?

htc touch pro and the jetcet printer driver it comes with. I can actually connect to my wireless router and print without having to plug anything in.It works with hos, epson, brother, cannon etc
