A totally cool idea for mobility products for those who are visually impared. You could put sensors on a scooter that would slow down when near obstacles and come to a stop before hitting them, maneuver around them, etc...

@ cyberpiqueThis thing only detects an object 4-9 inches away. Do you think that that is enough distance to brake a scooter? I think ultra-sound sensors would be more useful for that application. But I agree with you that it seems pretty useful for the visual impaired.
