instructables.com— Pretty simple to do and the illusion/trick turns out to be amazing. (The how-to for the magic trick video earlier on digg.)

That's why you put the red copy of the card on the bottom of the deck... So if they take that one, it still works out, and you can abort halfway through.
Not really. I have performed the trick a few times and have never had a problem with fanning the deck or anything else. If someone attempts to take the bottom card, then there is another sleight or two that fixes that problem.
I always love to read those people's posts where they say, "Yea man, digg sucks now. They totally used to be so good and all, and now they just suck. Ya know ... they just suck."Then why in Saint Paul's name are you still here and talking rubbish? You think we CARE what you have to say regarding how "crappy" digg is? How about you tell Rose some of that? Maybe he'll care! O, and I'm thinking there just might be a hint of jealousy in there as well, because ... well, How many stories have you contributed you low-life’s who don't really help the digg system at all?!
Knowing how a trick works shouldn't ruin it. As with any slight of hand trick, the fact that the magician is able to mess with the audience's perceptions enough that it gives the illusion of the impossible is nothing short of amazing in itself.I understand that there is some unwritten rule that a magician never reveals how he does his tricks, but those who really want to believe in magic will do so and those who really want to find out will (thanks largely to the Internet). Keeping the trick to yourself is like a geek doing something amazing and new with a computer and then never telling anyone how they did it."Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."-Arthur C. Clarke

It's turned into a cross between Friendster and basic cable.
