i can diggit simply because any sorta of sharing of knowledge is good. especially the putting together of hardware - building the computer.you are however correct on the how easy it is to actually install Linux part.
Shouldn't this really just read:"I'd like digg users to click my 7 pages worth of ad exposures please. Thanks.By the way I documented building a computer. It's like any other computer, but, while you're clicking my ad links, take a look at my mediocre writing ability."
umm...didn't the guys @ Damn Small Linux do this??it ain't hard to build a computer...and it's pretty damn easy to install Linux onto it...no digg, reported as lame.
I see most peoarent' getting the point, the harddrive thing? They didn't want a harddrive, harddrives make noise. It wasn't based on price at all.-jeffrey
Well, I don't see the point to the project as far as my own real or imagined needs. But it was a project that was fairly decently documented and could be useful reading for some people. I agree, "it ain't hard to build a computer...and it's pretty damn easy to install Linux onto it.." But lamer dudes with more attitude than they need should just shut up instead of commenting. If you don't digg it, just move on in silence. Most of us don't care how kewl you think you are.Some readers haven't built a 'puter before, and a lot of them haven't installed Linux before. And I'll bet most of us who have installed one or more distros of Linux still haven't done it on a USB flashdrive. I wasn't going to digg it, but I am now, just to make up for the lamer jarheads I'm tired of seeing huhaaw their way thru digg.

Im not sure why mini-itx computers arent the norm for most households.

If you need a mini-linux server without keyboard and video, there are cheaper solutions. The 80$ Linksys NSLU2 will do.
