tux.org — Lots of folks lately are interested in PC case mods with plexiglass windows, fancy 5" bay gear, interior LED lighting, and custom fan grills. I think it's great - anything to get away from the blah-PC. I recently spent a weekend building an inexpensive PC with a plexiglass case, and ended up with a nice box.

Anyone know where I can find the laptop screen that was encased in plexiglass to be used as a lcd desktop screen? I'm sure I saw it on digg but can't find it. thxNot a fan of the entire plexiglass computer case.

Ugh, you might like the way this looks for a month or two, but after prolonged exposure to light, oxygen, and heat, this case is going to look some 7 year old did it. :-)This is a horrible material choice for a lot of other reasons, not to mention scratches.

Yours looks MUCH better than the one linked. I'm about to undertake building my own plexiglass case and used google to try and find some pointers. I came across this case and thought to myself, "What a horifyingly ugly, poorly thought out case." It is obvious not much design or creativity went into this and it never should have made front page. Your case, on the other hand, while still cubish (which I usually hate) has a very good design to it, especially given the time you built it in.

UMMMM... Inexpensive???? If you add up the costs he listed it's $299.23... for a plastic box that looks cheap... you can buy one for way less than that... No Digg!
