technologyreview.com — A cell phone that can project a high-definition television image could soon be possible, say researchers at Cornell University. The projector will be about the size of dime and project a meter wide image. The researchers say what sets their device apart is the high scanning speed of the mirror, combined with its ability to scan over a wide angle.

yeah only possible in japan in the next few years, but for everywhere else 15years down the line and that's only a possiblity and in BETA/trial form.

While new technology like this is cool, I think the future is in the direction of small lightweight transparent display glasses where you could still look through the glasses but also use them to view your desktop and surf the web, watch videos, play games, etc.

Those of you who think this is useless technology seriously lack imagination and creativity. There are a million ways to appreciate this even without noting projector-in-a-cellphone is just one possible application.
