Then US government, the many governments of Europe, Japan, the UN, almost the entire population of climatologists and every major news network are in on this conspiracy? That's one very impressive conspiracy!

@lettruthut: I think the issue is that people AREN'T seeing evidence with their own eyes, since we're in the middle of a cooling trend.@archiesteel: If you're interested in what was actually said in the emails, there are better articles to find that information which actually include quotes:http://digg.com/d31AefFFor example, here's a nice quote from that article:"I've just completed Mike's Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (i.e., from 1981 onwards) and from 1961 for Keith's to hide the decline."Why should we trust the results produced by these people if they aren't willing to make their methods transparent? It seems pretty clear why they aren't going to do that, because if people knew about their methods they would be laughed at.

A little self reflection might reveal your emotional investment in the climate debate, and that it obligates you to ignore any contrary evidence at all cost. Now that you've dismissed the story as tabloid fodder because Fox ran it first, what ever would you do if this story ran on CNN?http://www.cnn.com/2009/TECH/11/23/hacker.climate/ ...Damn. I suppose further convolution of your perspective is now required, as admission of wrongness is not possible.

find another line of science pal, funding will be running a little short. I certainly hope you didn't lay it on the line and put your name seriously behinds this, because your sources for that foundation of so called knowledge just got knocked on it's ass... If you took any grant money you might want to give it back before you end up in jail over it.

Right....keep telling yourself that. Everyone has just dedicated their lives and tons of money to make up a story to lie to you. And for what? I can only imagine what grade you got in science class. If it was anything above an 'F' you should feel very lucky.

No chance that you're the one that's been lied to, huh? By people that have no credibility or proof, just an agenda and seeking profit. No that couldn't be possible.Maybe you were just talking into the mirror.
