They should have waited and made off with the ambulance when it showed up. They could pick up a heroin addicted doctor to make it more realistic and then use the sirens to speed their way to victory.
"It is some rally car race that covers a lot of countries and has a considerably high entrance fee.Essentially, it's people who pay money to race on public roads, and selfishly put other people's lives at risk for some excitement.A perfect example of the division between rich and poor if you will."and"You are missing the point. Yet even more sad (disgusting?) is people still support such an event.
@magic6435Yeah, afterall, there are lots more people who can be senselessly put in danger so others can selfishly enjoy some excitement at the same time.
The Gumball 3000 is a worldwide known event, and it is historic. Things like that are bound to happen especially when rich idiots get beind the whell of a porsche.I cant believe that all those cars were impounded
Exactly how is a contemporary commerical event, managed purely to increase its own brand awareness and generate more and more revenue through ever increasing entry fees; and something that one merely has to buy their way into with no merit, heralded as 'historic'? 'Moronic' might be more apt.Granted, it may well be referenced by future generations as the type of folly that exemplifies the emptiness of modern culture in the early 21st Century... Those people who could make a difference to the planet simply choose to increase their carbon footprint. And now... well it's definitely going to be notorious.A really saddening piece of news.
@PaperMonkeyI used to be a contributor in street racing...I've since grown up... but that doesn't change the fact that in most cities... a track is well over an hour drive away.. (I know for me, it's about an hour to either of the only two tracks we have)...If the city really wanted to cut down on street racing they'd be building tracks a lot closer... and they'd have much less for entrance fees.. (both tracks are $20 to race, $10 to watch)....But that's not how society wants to deal with it. :(

For sure. That's just sickening that they tried to run away after the fact. Idiots!

f**k this stupid event, done by rich brats without ANY driving talent, and with loads of lack of respect for their next one.
