Saw a documentary about a guy going for the record in missile command, the biggest problem is that the older arcade machines occasionally just crash and reboot. The poor bastard had been going for two days and the damn thing rebooted on him. Didn't make the record, which has been standing since the 80's.

There is a clause following "For the first time" and that clause in "in 20 years" so that means that this is the first time since 1987, but there is no clause following once again, so it is a perfectly legitimate sentence, although it could be written more clearly.
