thinkprogress.org — Video on ThinkProgress: On CNN's Glenn Beck show, a guest asked Beck if he wanted to see the Clintons murdered in Hillary's Sopranos spoof. “[S]eriously, Glenn, didn’t you at one point want to see, like, Paulie Walnuts or someone come in and just whack them both right there. Wouldn’t that have been great?”

That joke was tame in comparison to what happens on HuffPo whenever there's a story about the US vice president. Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks.

Has anyone done it on a primetime news show?

While I wouldn't go that far, Nancy Grace has got to be one of the most annoying news personalities out there. Maybe the lawsuit on her will teach her to chill out a bit.

Given the context of what they were talking about (the Clinton's spoof of the Soprano's finale), if was an off-color, tongue-in-cheek remark made purely in jest. The comment was even keeping in context of what ACTUALLY happened in the Soprano's finale. Big, fat, hairy deal. It's not like the unhinged lefties that you always see on Zombietime (like this guy -- http://www.zombietime.com/us_out_of_iraq_now_sf_3-18-2007/IMG_2393.JPG ) openly and seriously calling for the assassination of our President without any subtext of comedy.

Yeah, I know. Every time I see her on TV, I "whack" her, by just turning it off.

Glenn Beck isn't a news program, it's clearly commentary. Just like Randi Rhode's radio show where she joked about shooting GWB

Glenn Beck didn't say this. A guest of his did.
