f**k Spamhaus. I PERSONALLY KNOW FOR 100% fact they take money from spammers to allow SPAM to willfully pass through the system, and help get it through all the other systems. They even have an elaborate system where you use a server overseas, with different ips, between a set time, and it lets you in. I know at least 20 people who are aware of the scam, and I know people who regularly pay Spamhaus off to send spam. I challenge anyone form Spamhaus to prove me wrong. I know about the secret accounts, the funds, the transfers, and the late night meetings. You and the other sites who are involved disgust me. You get rich (and appear poor) while keeping the appearance of the good guys. Your worse than a judge that takes bribes.I'm sure most of you think I'm lying, but I'm willing to testify to this in a court of law, sworn in, with solid proof. f**k Spamhaus!
Why say you have evidence to the contrary, then not offer any of it. Wow, you'll testify in court, just like the guy who testified in court and falsified documents. You're very trustworthy.I'll keep it simple, You're full of crap.
I think its obvious from alot of the comments here, no one has a website big enough to feel a collateral fallout from spamhaus. If someone on your block, or at the same hosting company (and remember, some hosting companies are HUGE), and there is a machine spamming from it (lets say even a comprimised machine), Spamhaus blocks the WHOLE block. For people who have very large newsletters, your whitelisting becomes jeopardized, your regular emails become jeopardized, and everything becomes a major hassel till they clean it up.Sorry, but this is neither a efficient nor correct way to stop spammers. Just because someone on my block or even hosting company is spamming, why should I be negatively affected?Good riddens Spamhaus, I personally would like to see people who thought this was ever a good service move to something else. Try spamcop or something.
Well for starters Spamhaus deals with Russians, the same people who used to work at shadowcrew (the online board for credit card theives and russian mobsters). I'm not ever going to post anything about Spamhaus and their dealing for now, until I get more people who are in the know, and are willing to back me up. The people who deal in this world are very shady. I've had my life theatened twice at parties just for bringing it up.
My hosting company uses spamhouse BL against their *outgoing* mail server. This was a real PITA because Cingular's IP blocks seemed to always be listed in the SBL. This made it impossible to send mail from my treo because my own SMTP server, which I'm logging into, would block me due to the IP I have on the treo.Seems to be better now though, we'll see how long that lasts.

If Spamhaus is affecting your whitelisting, you really need to have a look at your mail server setup.
