treehugger.com — Welsh biochemist and engineers have developed a device they believe can capture greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles, so they can be fed to algae, who in turn help produce a biodiesel. Capture rates is said to be up to 95% effective. The Greenbox device would get exchanged about once every full tank of fuel.

I strongly suspect that the insides contain a cylinder of CO2. They don't have to keep the contents secret in order to have a valid patent, so it is more likely that it is just a scam. The way the article uses science terminology somewhat loosely / inappropriately also make me believe that it is a scam.
