today.reuters.com — "Grape juice can have a similar effect (against heart disease) as red wine but without the alcohol. That is a very important message," said Dr Valerie Schini-Kerth, lead author of the study published in the journal Cardiovascular Research.

So, does Jack Daniel's make grape juice?

Of course you have to weigh the presence of high-fructose corn syrup (cheap sweetener) in a most of the juices sold in American supermarkets which is a factor in diabetes and cardiovascular disease. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-fructose_corn_syrup#Health_effectshttp://www.diabeteshealth.com/read,2004,4274.htmlSo, when you do buy juice make sure it is not sweetened with the high-fructose corn syrup.

I actually believe in mrousell. This report is a little fishy. Several other large real world studies done with wine, extracts and other alcoholic beverages in humans kinda contradict this report.

I love both and this won't change my habits. It's about taste.Grape juice? It's nice on a hot summer day, like when you come back from doing an activity -- refreshing.Eating pasta? Filet Mignon? Wine, please...Please making my own wine in-house for many years now, it's somehow more satisfying to drink something you made than some cheap store juice that is 50% fake.

As a worshiper of Dionysis, my grapes gotta be fermented. Juice is for babies.

I"M SHOCKED!!! (rubs her eyes with a fist) So, maybe it isn't the "wine" after all but the lowly grape (sans alcohol) that's good for the ol' pump. That would make sense, don't you think? All the alcohol is going to do is destroy the liver, anyway Remember, the darker the grape, the higher the level of antioxidants!Cheers!

To quote Larry David, "Grape Juice is a very underrated juice."

Everybody's known this for years. Alcohol has no medical benefits whatsoever, yet people keep drinking it. I don't get why so many people lobby against tobacco, yet alcohol is relatively uncontroversial. This isn't news either. I've known a person that has been saying this for years. Science is much slower than everybody thinks.
