This "microtransaction" bulls**t must f**king stop.Morrowind=2 expansion packs and later on a game of the year addition.A wonderful game that felt as though you would NEVER run out of new things to find{200 plus hours of mind expanding RPG}.Oblivion="next gen"6 or 10 lame ass plugins the mod community wouldn't release to a group of elderly shut ins{that should 've been in the game in the first place} only 2 or 3 bucks a piece costing more than morrowind and its expansions once you add it all up.Screw these money grubbin' assh**es {PS3 & 360}I was a fan but you bitches had'da get all shades O' miserly.I'm gettin' a Nintendo.Yeah I know they're doing something similar. but at leas its old school stuff I already have not s**t that's supposed to be in the goddamn game?!!!
Hey Sony! Watch this...I'm not buying your stupid PS3. By the way GT4 was my favorite game of all time, but having to physically buy the cars?? Come on! I play the damn game so I DON'T have to buy the cars.
@phytar "I can drop $4 for a car and a couple tracks and be playing right away. If I don't like the game - no problem - it only cost $4! I like that a lot better than shelling out $50 for a game that I may not like."So by your amazing logic, the GT engine will be free? and you will "only" have to pay for the tracks and cars right. Are living in La La Land? because that does not happen on the real world.you are either just plain stupid or retarded.
first off, it is HIGHLY unlikely that GT:HD classic will cost anything. if they do charge for it, it'll probably cost no more than $10. what in god's name makes you think sony will be charging $50-$60 for the empty GT:HD classic that is only used for online racing? what a ridiculous assumption.GT:HD classic is not a full gran turismo game. you don't unlock tracks or buy cars with in-game money. you just buy cars/tracks so you can bring them online. you only pay for what you'll use for online racing. yeah, that's right, GT:HD classic is JUST online racing. if you wasted money and bought all 750 cars, you'll never use hundreds of them. you'll buy a few cars from a couple different classes and that's all you'll need. chances are, only those who are REALLY into the game will spend more than $50. most people will spend far less, and actually be SAVING MONEY. you can start off with one car and one track (hell you might not need to buy any tracks if you can join a game with any track, which is likely, since you'll be able to race against cars you don't necessarily own -- my bet is that you only need the track if you want to host a game on it). you've spent like $5 and you're playing the game online as much as you want. that's a pretty damn good deal. if you like it and want more cars, buy a few more. you'll never need an excessive number of cars because the only thing you'd be doing is racing online; you'll just want your favorites.the korean MMO scene has pioneered a new business model for online games, and what sony is doing with GT:HD classic looks to be heavily inspired by such games (they've even mentioned doing a game similar to this in interviews). with no or very little cost up front, the games become MUCH more accessible and you get a lot more players. games like this have the potential to become much more popular than a game that costs upward of $50 just to get in. it HEAVILY BENEFITS THE ONLINE COMMUNITY. only those that are really into the game will likely end up spending more than the conventional $50 per game.also, i seriously doubt premium will cost a full $50-$60.gran turismo 5 is the next GT game where you have a career mode etc. GT:HD is just a preview to showcase the graphics and online play, and no, it isn't a ripoff. it'll be awesome when to race online, all anyone needs to do is throw in a few bucks for a car. much better than dropping $50 up front for hundreds of cars you'll never touch.
dear god...i work in retail, and from what ive seen, Playstation gamers are some of the cheapest gamers around. seriously, we really only sell PS2 games when they are on sale, or if tehy are brand new.. not too many inbetween.i can imagine the hordes of idiot gamers who buy the cheap version and try to return it because "the disc is bad" or "doesnt come with content" or "i dident know it dident come with content" or "you guys suck, give me free stuff because of my trouble!!"screw you GTHD, you suck... i have to educate the morons who sell video games that for EVERY customer who wants to buy the game, they have to tell them that it comes with NO CONTENT!
somebody will mod their PS3 and get all the cars and tracks for free.it may be like xbox where they charge for a little while then a few months down the line everything will be for free.
if they actually end up doing this and there is any level of online multiplayer involved, i have no doubt that everyone (and i mean everyone) will be racing the same car, which of course would have to be the best car in the game since nobody wants to shell out x amount of dollars to lose.
