I'd just like to add that this is possible on *any* modern Linux distro, but it is obviously easier to install debs in deb-based distros, and the howto is tailored to Ubuntu.

That's why I love them. Easy to click + the hover effect makes it clear what you're clicking on.

Yeah, people do. W/O the kernel, nothing would run. I actually enjoy optimizing my Linux Kernel to run it's best onmy hardware.
