news.zdnet.com — Google's getting into the music biz. A new feature launched today adds special info when people do music-related searches: "Items that can be purchased will have links to merchants for online ordering or downloading, she said. Initial merchant partners include Apple Computer's iTunes service, RealNetworks Rhapsody, eMusic, Amazon.com"

I too am a little sick of hearing about the latest Google toolbar, or Google extension, or Google web app, or Google service. I realize they're a major player on the web (perhaps the most major player), but there is a limit to my tolerance. Perhaps dudup is right - a Google category on Digg is required.

Google still needs to iron out some kinks in this. Searching for "R.E.M." from the main Google page results in the music link at the top, but searching for "Pavement" does not, even though the overwhelming majority of top links for Pavement are for the band's site, fan sites, lyrics sites, etc. Also, the listed reviews from each album are awful. Most of them are just user reviews from ciao.co.uk, which appears to be like a British version of epinions.

ok... I could on the posted Google Music Search, but not on a standard Google search... I am guessing I should see it in the sponsored link side along with yahoo and such? weird...
