Why you people are obsessed with Dell? Just because it comes with Linux, it doesn't change they install a middle-man program (trying hard not to call spyware) when you pay extra $$$ for Windows one.Find another brand, get rid of this Dell obsession.
WHO THE f**k RUNS THEIR SCREEN AT 800x600 in 2007. I don't think that Dell even sell monitors with a native resolution of 800x600. This article is complete propaganda.
I love how the author goes on about how bad it is that dell/google is shoving ads down their throats, yet the error message you get is very descriptive on how to remove it. Malware generally doesn't do that. Then they go on to say how they are basically doing the EXACT SAME THING, yet there's no way to 'uninstall' their service.
I'm so glad I don't have to deal with any of this junk on my Mac. My parents have a Dell and it's okay, pretty nice for the Windows side, but it still gets viruses and filled with crapware. Google continues to be my goto place for everything.

No, Google Desktop results stay on your desktop. Usage statistics, though, are sent back to Google. So Google says.
