I have a friend who had an emergency I had to go to there location in a hurry.Rather than them trying to give me there address.. I just told them to ping me with there via "Looped"... I got there address on my iphoneand drove right to where they were.Trying to hook up with your friends in the city.. I use "looped" to share where I am and they use it to share where they are.. Ever try to get an address from a drunk person.. it sucks. "personal location software" rocks.. Yes it could be used by bad guys to keep track of you or where you are or where you havebeen.. When I say bad guys i'm talking about police. but they can do that right now if you are carrying your cellphone with you where ever you go.
As the article states, the news is that it will be coming to the iPhone (and android). It was just announced today, so I would qualify that as news. Or were you just trying to be a dick?
Well this is where something is NOT important if it actually works on other phones today, but IS super important if it's rumoured it might work on God's very own handset, the iPhone, sometime in the future...maybe.

New world order evil scheme, don't trust these corporate fascists. They always try to sell us our own enslavement.
